2,158,680 OGI burned

At 22:34 UTC today, in slot 441,493,610, 2,158,680.5534 OGI were burned. At $0.001054, the price at the time of writing, that is about $2,275 of supply destroyed.

Supply now reads 972,859,565.517791, down from 975,020,369.015545 after the burn on 19 August. Cumulatively, 27,140,434.482209 OGI have been removed since genesis, which is 2.714% of the original 1,000,000,000.

As before, the tokens came from the project's own holdings and the treasury was not touched. Validators are paid out of swap fees earned by the protocol-owned liquidity position, described in the token chapter, and that mechanism is unaffected by any of this.

The last post said burns would continue on a regular basis and that each one would be posted here with its transaction hash and the supply figure it produced. This is that, five days later, and it is the format every future burn will follow.

Everything above is checkable now. The mint is 12SFro5AeU3z4b3exEpLczbwcm49EvwU312j1JvB5ogi, its mintAuthority and freezeAuthority are both null, and getTokenSupply against any Solana RPC returns the current figure. If this page and the chain disagree, the chain is right.
